Kanye is too cute and funny! I saw this on a bloggers site today, and then went to check out the up roar about a ghost blogger he is supposed to have
Its funny how he has managed to establish himself as star, but not a heartthrob? Business-wise, I think this was a fab idea…so he is ageless.
I love this man as an artist, and I am actually glad he gave a damn about himself to go after his dreams, in returned he has served the world.
I really think he uses his public-arrogance as a personal self-esteem lift, I believe if he did not—e may be prone to drugs or low self-esteem. Besides, he teaches us if we dont give a damn about ourselves…who will? It first starts with ourselves. As talented as he is…I really doubt he is free from being alone, and deep artistic episodes of melancholy.
The thing about Kanye is…his fans know this…he knows this, and we are all cool with it all…we live as humans, and he takes from our lives and his life and creates art in music, designs and overall art…and it in turn helps us all. This makes him great, and his admirers even greater…we are his muses!
Anyways, with all of the world hating and loving this man, I think he is special, and most likely good people and a hard worker.

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris was featured on Good Morning Today in Denver this am. She held a press conference , informing the public about a serious situation in SF, where an IT worker has sabotaged the IT system of the city, by not giving poilce the password of the city’s IT system. Its an odd situation, making me wonder how the man got in the position in the first place, to have that much power to govern over the city’s IT system. Howevver, after listening to Ms. Harris statement and ongoing efforts to get to teh bottom of the situation ( not to mention the bail and bond for the man), I was like seems like Ms. Harris and mayor Newsome, amongst others, are working hard on this situation.
This in turn nevertheless, brings me to Ms. Harris. She has such an amazing background, and she has worked very hard to get where she is. I first read about her last year, when I read about her taking some time off from her day job to help out the Obama campaign. I really admired her passion for the campaign, and I read up about her and saw how she made it to where she is currently. She graduated from Howard University, and received her JD in 1990 from the UC university system. In a nutshell, Ms. Harris worked her way up, she served as a DA in a smaller CA city, and then made her way to SF. and the rest is history.
When you have time, read up on this Understated superstar, I am pretty sure we will here so much more about her in the near future!

The root.com posted commentary this week about the pro’s and con’s of having a soror barbie for the 100th anniv. of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA). You can check out article here: http://www.theroot.com/id/47216?GT1=38002. It is to my understanding that people are upset because the doll is a brown-skinned doll among other issues. I saw the doll’s picture, and I was like wow, its a great doll that reflects the physical attributes of some of the members of the organization. When I read the article/posts, and then comments I just simply thought two things: 1- Why was there a 100 year wait to make this doll? 2- The people who do not like the doll, why dont they create some themselves? or these people who “hate” why can’t they hire a doll designer to create one and make a simple profit and put that money back into the organization and keep a profit for themselves? I dunno…
I think that the discussion about the doll should move away from blogging about the color of the doll’s skin, and move on to how can the doll influence new starts, as it relates to dolls of color…

Many New Yorkers are eager to get to the Hampton Bays this summer, yet I hope they do not miss out on the international action taking place there next weekend. Patrice Motsepe, one of South Africa’s wealthiest residents will be honored at the event, along with his wife. He is the 503rd wealthiest man in the world.
In 1994, he started Future Mining, a contract mining company which, following a series of acquisitions of gold interests from Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited, led to the formation of ARMgold Limited

Former NBA Player Kevin Johnson, announced this week that he will be running for the Mayor of California’s capital city, Sacremento. He faces a race against current mayor Heather Fargo. Johnson, a native of Sacremento, believes that he is best suited to lead the city based on face to face conversations that he has had with the city’s current residents. So from my view—this is a great race. Many of the city’s residence will be fearful of many issues, but mainly about the states real estate slump. Johnson will be prepared to provide the best plan, and I wish him the best!
I am so glad that he is really making use of his popularity.

The Bullet…
This year’s race is like nothing that my dreams could have ever dreamed up…I am thinking that many of you feel the same way. Its not even about the norm, its about the fire like ability of the camp of Barack Obama. This past week alone you have heard Clinton try to knock him down, McCain knock him down, and current President Bush… it was like a 3-tier Gun…and thing is no matter how hard people try…Obama’s supporters are not willing to compromise for their canidate. I am talking about myself as well. Just the other day I asked myself, how can one do it? How can he run for this high office? How can he go through the fire, get burned…and I summed it up and I was like simply faith. He has a lot of faith in the American people, more faith than anyone has had in us in my lifetime…and just look at the fruits of his labor. I laugh when people say if he wins the general election we will have another Jimmey Carter, as an insult. Yet, was Jimmy bad for the time that he won? Also…I say that our Obama will be like Napolean of France…he cleaned up a once corrupt empire…this is what Obama will do for us…and I know he will do it well.
The 3-Tier Guns…

This is a great career move — acting wise for Andre. Will F. has a great following, and for Andre to get in on that is a excellent move—his agents are great…or better yet he’s great at selecting the right agents. Check out the flick this weekend if you can—I am sure it will do well in the box office:

You know him…he’s BJ Coleman. While not a household name like his current boss, Kimora Lee Simmons. BJ is part of the force behind Kimora’s brand. I have seen BJ in action in LA and NYC ( booksigning, and working KLS show in NYC), and he is fierce. He has a impressive blend of integrity about his vibe…he works not only to make Kimora look good…he seems to work because he has given his word.
Just a few weeks ago, I was working for Haven llc, a NYC-based firm that works front of the house for the KLS show ( well Baby Phat), and I had the chance to see BJ in action. I was part of the crew checking people into the show…and BJ was there making sure all of the celebrity guest were ushered to the photo ops, and just being a great host, overall.
Kimora knows how to pick em’ and that in turn shows her ability to lead well.
You rock BJ! We look for more from you in the future? Maybe your own PR firm???

I admire Pharrell. He is always doing his own thin—whether its music or fashion. Well, its been a few years since he teamed up with Bape Founder Nigo, since then they have made small waves with customers, but now they are in America. I really feel that in living out his dreams, that Pharrell will influence other young African-Americans…to do business overseas, and partner up with people with hott ideas.
Here are pictures from the ”Star Bape Search” Press conference from earlier today ( Japan time )

Pharrell Williams is shown above being interviewd by MTV VJ Akiko Fukuda during a “Star Bape Search” press conference at MTV Japan. The winner of the project to produce a female hip-hop singer, who will debut with support from rapper and music producer, Pharrell Williams, and Bape designer Nigo (Tomoaki Nagao).
Thanks Pharrell and Nigo for inspiring us all…
